The name Tsomgo is made of two words in Bhutia Language 'Tso' means 'lake' and 'Mgo' means 'head' in a short 'source of the lake'.. New Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir - The Baba Mandir was built, in the Memorial of Baba Harbhajan Singh or the 'Hero of Nathula', a soldier in the Indian Army. It is situated, at a distance of 12Km from Tsomgo Lake, and 52Km from Gangtok city. Nathula Pass - A major mountain pass in the Himalayas in East Sikkim district, which is a corridor of passage between India and Tibet before it was closed in 1962 but reopened in 2006. They build the Temple under the guidance of Buddhist monks from Japan in traditional Japanese style, and this place is the house of four avatars of Buddha. After the hot breakfast with some finest Darjeeling tea, proceed towards Bagdogra airport/ Ngp railway station after a half day tour to mirik.The journey towards Mirik encounters the scenic path of Sukhiapokhri, a census town full of mesmerizing landscapes. This place is beautifully decorated, with a flowering garden and coniferous trees on one side and the Mirik Lake on the other with an arc-shaped bridge in the middle, perfect for a photo op. Tourists can do boating in this clean lake or take a horse ride within the boundaries to check the beauty of this place. There are souvenir shops and local food stalls set up near the lake where tourists can enjoy hot Dim sum, tea, or coffee while praising the beauty of this place.
