For the year 2024, the Kedarnath Dham temple will open its doors on 10th May, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Akshay Tritiya. Travelers have already made their reservations in advance to avoid any last-minute booking issues or extra planning hurdles. The temple committee announced the opening dates for Kedarnath Dham and the other three Dhams during Mahashivratri.

Considering the extreme winter conditions, the temple complex has decided to close the sanctum on the eve of Kartik Purnima.

Day 1

Info From New Delhi to Haridwar

Your Kedarnath adventure begins in Delhi. Our driver will pick you up from the airport or any public location you prefer. From there, enjoy a scenic drive through Ghaziabad, Bhojpur, Mansurpur, Muzaffarnagar, Roorkee, Bahadrabad, and Jwalapur. The 232-236 km journey to Haridwar usually takes about 5-6 hours due to traffic and short breaks. By evening, you'll arrive in Haridwar and check into your hotel for a restful night with a delicious dinner.

Day 2

Info Haridwar to Guptkashi

Start your day early with a hearty breakfast. Today’s journey takes you from Haridwar to Guptkashi, covering around 205 km. The route includes scenic mountain roads and passes through Rishikesh, Shivpuri, Byasi, Devprayag, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, Tilwara, and Augustmuni. The trip will take about 7 hours. Once you arrive in Guptkashi, check into your room, relax, and enjoy dinner.

Info Guptkashi to Kedarnath

Wake up early and have breakfast to fuel your day. Our driver will take you to Sonprayag. From there, you'll need to book a local taxi to Gaurikund, the last stop accessible by car. Begin your trek to Kedarnath Dham. If you get tired, take short breaks or use services like palki, ponies, or horses. The effort will be worth it when you finally reach the sacred Kedarnath Dham. Complete your darshan and rituals, and spend the night in the peaceful, blessed atmosphere.

Info Kedarnath to Guptkashi

In the morning, start your descent to Gaurikund. Once you arrive, book a taxi to Sonprayag where our driver will be waiting. Return to Guptkashi and relax for the night.

After breakfast, leave Guptkashi and head back to Haridwar, a 7-hour journey. Once you reach Haridwar, check into your room and explore nearby attractions. Enjoy a lovely dinner before resting for the night.
