    Srinagar is the largest city and summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, which is an Indian-administered union territory.     1. Betaab Valley Betaab Valley of Pahalgam is one of the most beautiful and peaceful valleys of Jammu and Kashmir. It is just 7 km from Pahalgam town in the Anantnag region of Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier it was called Hagen Valley. But after the famous Bollywood movie Betaab was filmed here in the early 1980s, it was named Betaab Valley Pahalgam.     Gulmarg literally means “Meadow of flowers”. Gulmarg is located 60 KMs away from Srinagar which is an hour and half journey by car. Gulmarg has attracted millions of tourists throughout its existence with the scenic beauty of the Himalayan Mountains in the back drop. One of the main attractions in Gulmarg is the Gulmarg Gondola, the Highest Cable Car in the world. The 1st phase of the Gondola takes tourists to the height of 8530 ft to Kongdori Station and the second stage of the Gondola goes up to the height of 12293 ft. Tourists can enjoy horse Riding and can go riding to the magnificent “Strawberry Valley” , Leopards Valley and ride up to “Kongdori” to see the frozen lake of “Al- Pathar”. Gulmarg in winter is a magnificent experience, fully covered in a white blanket of Snow which turns it into a skiers paradise. The natural slopes here are untouched and prove to be a challenge to ace skiers!     1. Gulmarg Gondola Gulmarg Gondola is an incredible feat of engineering and a must-visit tourist destination in Jammu and Kashmir. The two-phase ride takes visitors up to an altitude of 13,780 feet above sea level, making it one of the highest cable car rides in the world. Alpather lake Alpather Lake is a high-altitude lake situated between the twin peaks of Apharwat Peak in the town of Gulmarg. The one-day hike from Gulmarg starts at about 13 km and follows the route from Khilanmarg to Apharwat Ridge and ends at Alpather Lake.  4. Khilanmarg One of the best places to visit in Gulmarg is Khilanmarg, a small and charming valley with panoramic views of snow-capped mountains. Maharani Temple Gulmarg’s Maharani Temple is devoted to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati and is located on a tiny hillside visible from all corners of the town. It stands out against the lush fields with its crimson roof.
