Day 1 : PICK UP BAGDOGRA TO PHUENTSHOLING (161 KM-4hrs) Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, proceed to Jaigaon, where you'll be met and greeted. From there, transfer to Phuentsholing, Bhutan's gateway city accessible by road from India. Phuentsholing is a bustling commercial hub situated at the northern edge of the Indian plains. On arrival, check in to your hotel. In the evening, take a leisurely walk around Zangtopelri Lhakhang, situated in the heart of the city. Overnight stay at your hotel in Phuentsholing.
Day 2 : PHUENTSHOLING TO THIMPHU (172 KM-5/6hrs) After breakfast, complete the immigration formalities and proceed to Thimphu, the vibrant capital city of Bhutan, nestled at an altitude of 7,710 ft. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. Later in the day, visit the iconic King’s Memorial Chorten, a monument of peace and prosperity, followed by the magnificent Tashichhodzong, an architectural marvel that houses the King’s Throne Room and the Royal Secretariat. Day 4 : PUNAKHA SIGHTEEING TO PARO (115 Km-3hrs) After a delightful breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the magnificent Punakha Dzong, also known as the ‘Palace of Great Happiness.’ This 17th-century architectural masterpiece serves as the winter residence of Je Khenpo, the head abbot, and is home to a community of over 1,000 monks. In the afternoon, continue your journey to the historic Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of Bhutan’s oldest, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. Next, visit Chimi Lhakhang, the 15th-century Temple of Fertility, a revered pilgrimage site for couples. As the day concludes, travel to Paro and retreat to your accommodation for a peaceful overnight stay.
Day 5 : PARO – EXCURSION TO TAKSANG MONASTERY HIKING After breakfast, embark on a hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery, famously known as the Tiger’s Nest. Perched dramatically on the edge of a steep cliff at an altitude of 3,180 meters, it stands as Bhutan’s most renowned and sacred monastery. According to legend, Guru Rinpoche, the revered spiritual master, is believed to have flown to this site on the back of a tigress and meditated in a cave where the monastery now resides. With its breathtaking location, approximately 900 meters above Paro Valley, the journey offers unparalleled views and a profound spiritual experience. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 6 : PARO 02 POINT SIGHTSEEING TO PHUENTSHOLING (142km-5hrs) This morning, we’ll explore the beautifully symmetrical Rinpung Dzong, built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, Bhutan's first spiritual and temporal leader. We'll also visit Ta Dzong—a hilltop, fortress-like watchtower originally constructed to protect Rinpung Dzong during 17th-century inter-valley conflicts, now serving as the National Museum. Afterward, we'll drive back to Phuentsholing, check in at the hotel upon arrival, and stay overnight.
