Day 02: Shillong -- Cherrapunjee (70 km / 2.5 hrs) After breakfast proceed towards Cherrapunjee. En route stop & visit Elephant Falls. Also stop at the Mawdak Valley view point. Reach Cherrapunjee & visit Garden of caves, Seven Sisters’’ falls, the Awrah Cave and Mawsmai Cave, Nokhalikai Falls and Dainthlen falls. Later Check into hotel on arrival. Overnight at Cherrapunjee.
Day 03: Cherrapunjee – Dawki -- Mawlynnong – Shillong (120km / 3hrs) After breakfast drive to visit Mawlynnong- also known as the “cleanest village in Asia”. You can observe the cleanliness of the village by taking a short walk. Also Visit Single Decker Living Root Bridge. Post Lunch drive towards Dawki (shnongpdeng ) in shnongpdeng You can enjoy country boat rides. The specialty of Umngot River is that – the water is very crystal clear even you can see the ground. Return to hotel. Overnight at Shillong.
Day 04: Shillong to Kaziranga National Park (280 km / 07 hrs) After breakfast, check out the hotel & drive towards Kaziranga National Park - also known as the home of the Great One Horned Indian Rhino. On reaching Kaziranga, check into the hotel. In the evening, enjoy a centrally organized cultural show – another attraction of Kaziranga National Park where you will get the chance to see the traditional dance forms of Assamese Community specially the Bihu dance. Return to the hotel & stay overnight.
Day 05: Kaziranga National Park – Bomdila (215 kms / 7 hrs) Early morning at 4:30 am we go for the exciting Elephant Safari in the Western range. We return to the resort to have breakfast. After breakfast we go for the Jeep Safari in the Central range. Return to the hotel for check out and visit Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park, home of thousands of rare orchids. Later, drive to Bomdila. Reach Bomdila, check into the hotel on arrival. Overnight.
Day 06: Bomdila -- Tawang (180 km / 6hrs) After breakfast, check out from the hotel and start your journey to Tawang. Enroute visit Sela Pass – the highest motor able pass and Jaswantgarh War Memorial – dedicated to Martyr Jaswant Singh of Indian Army in 1962 Indo China war. Reach Tawang, check into the hotel on arrival. Overnight at Tawang.
Day 07: Tawang—Bumla Pass (Extra cost INR5,500 cab with permits) After breakfast, drive to visit the Bumla Pass (India China Border Point), Sangster Lake & PT' SOE Lake. Return to the hotel. Overnight. Note: Only Indian Citizens are permitted to visit & the use of local vehicles is mandatory as per the transport & tourism rules of Arunachal Pradesh. Subject to permission by the authorities of the Indian Army. And if no permission is granted due to bad weather/army movement then it’s not refundable.
Day 08: Tawang After breakfast visit the Tawang monastery, Ani Gompa, Urgelling monastery (also known as the birthplace of 6th Dalai Lama), Tawang emporium and also the Giant Buddha Statue. Evening, visit the Tawang War Memorial and enjoy the light and sound show. Return to the hotel by dusk. Overnight.
Day 09: Tawang – Dirang (135 km/7 hrs approx.) After breakfast, check out the hotel and drive towards Dirang. Enroute visit the beautiful Jung Falls (also known as the Nuranang Falls). Check into the hotel on arrival. After refreshment, visit the Hot Water Spring. Also visit Dirang Monastery- known as Kalchakra Monastery. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Dirang.
Day 10: Dirang – Guwahati (370kms /7hrs) After breakfast, check out the hotel, and start your drive towards Guwahati. Overnight.
Day 11: Guwahati Depart After breakfast check out the hotel and drive to visit the Kamakhya Temple situated at the top of Nilachal Hills. Also visit the Umananda Devaloi is a Shiva temple located at the Peacock Island in the middle of river Brahmaputra. It was built by the Ahom King Gadadhar Singha (1681–1696), who was a devout Shaivaite. It is known as the smallest inhabited River Island in the world. Post that, drive to Airport / Railway Station for an onward journey.
