Adventure in Meghalaya (6D/5N) Itinerary

Arrival: Arrive at Guwahati Airport/ Railway Station and transfer to Shillong, a picturesque hill station (approximately 3 hours).

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel, then check out. Travel: Transfer to Cherrapunji (approximately 2 hours), known for its heavy rainfall and scenic beauty.

Activities: Visit the Mawkdok Dympep Valley, offering breathtaking views and photo opportunities. Explore Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India, and the Seven Sisters Falls, a majestic seven-segmented waterfall. Afternoon: Visit Mawsmai Cave, famous for its limestone formations, and Krem Mawmluh Cave, known for its challenging paths and underground streams.

Hotel: Check-in at Polo Orchid Resort. Dinner: Dinner at the resort.

Morning: Breakfast at the resort.

Activities: Trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge, a unique bridge made from the roots of rubber trees. This trek involves descending through dense forests and crossing streams. Lunch: Packed lunch during the trek. Afternoon: Continue the trek and set up camp near the bridge, surrounded by lush greenery. Evening: Enjoy a campfire and dinner at the campsite. Accommodation: Camping near the Double Decker Living Root Bridge.

Morning: Breakfast at the campsite. Break camp and trek back. Travel: Transfer to Mawlynnong (approximately 2 hours), renowned as the cleanest village in Asia.

Activities: Explore the village, visit the Living Root Bridge in Mawlynnong, and climb the Sky Walk for panoramic views of the village and Bangladesh plains. Hotel: Check-in at Mawlynnong Homestay. Dinner: Dinner at the homestay.

Morning: Breakfast at the homestay. Check out and transfer to Dawki (approximately 1 hour).

Activities: Enjoy a boat ride on the Umngot River, famous for its crystal-clear water. The river’s clarity allows you to see the riverbed even at its deepest points. Afternoon: Return to Shillong (approximately 2.5 hours). Evening: Free time to explore Police Bazaar, a bustling market area in Shillong known for its shops, food stalls, and vibrant atmosphere. Dinner: Dinner at the hotel

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and transfer back to Guwahati (approximately 3 hours).

Activities: If time permits, visit Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati, one of the oldest and most revered temples dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya. Drop-off: Guwahati Airport/ Railway Station for your onward journey.
