Kheer Bhawani Temple and Manasbal Lake are two significant landmarks in the beautiful region of Kashmir, India. **Kheer Bhawani Temple:** Kheer Bhawani Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the Goddess Kheer Bhawani, who is believed to be the Goddess Ragnya Devi, also known as Ragniya Bhagwati, an incarnation of the Hindu Goddess Durga. The temple is located in Tulla Mulla village, about 14 miles east of Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. One of the distinctive features of this temple is its sacred spring, which is believed to change its color, forewarning of impending disaster. The devotees believe that the color of the spring's waters indicates the future of Kashmir. The temple attracts a large number of devotees, especially during the annual festival of Zestha Ashtami, which falls in May or June according to the Hindu calendar. **Manasbal Lake:** Manasbal Lake is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Kashmir and is often referred to as the 'supreme gem of all Kashmir Lakes.' It is situated in the district of Ganderbal, about 30 kilometers north of Srinagar. Surrounded by lush greenery and the Himalayan mountains, the lake is renowned for its picturesque beauty and tranquility. The lake is also known for its floating gardens, locally called 'Rad' or 'Rad-e Chalo.' These gardens are created by the local community who use the weeds and vegetation from the lake to build floating platforms on which they grow vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, and watermelon. Manasbal Lake is not only a popular tourist destination but also serves as a vital habitat for various species of birds, including migratory birds like herons, bitterns, and kingfishers. Boating and water sports activities are also available on the lake, making it a favorite spot for both nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. Both Kheer Bhawani Temple and Manasbal Lake offer a unique glimpse into the cultural and natural heritage of Kashmir, attracting visitors from far and wide to experience their beauty and serenity. Late in the evening enjoy Shikara ride in Dal - Nigeen Lake.
