Vacation to Bhutan

On arrival at  New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, West Bangle, you will be received by our Asia Valleys Tours & Travels (AVTT) representative who will drive you to Phuntsholing via Coronation Bridge (Bagpool) and upon reaching Phuntsholing, the guide will assist you for your immigration formalities at Bhutan Gate and check into hotel. 

Upon reaching Phuntsholing, we will check into the hotel and take rest. Toward evening, we will walk around Zangtho Pelri chorten, situated in city Centre, this small temple represents the heaven of Guru Rinpoche. Later in the evening explore the local market. Breakfast and Dinner in Hotel.

After breakfast in the hotel, we will star our journey to Thimphu (2,300 M), which will take approximately 5 Hrs. Our drive will pass through Gedu, Chukha, Wangkah Waterfall and Chuzom before emerging ourselves into the only multi culture city in Bhutan. We will halt at Wangkha Waterfall and Chuzom for sightseeing. Upon reaching Thimphu, check into the hotel and rest for a while.

After breakfast in hotel, drive to Paro. On the way halt at Thangtong Gyalpo - Bhtuan first iron suspension bridges. Upon reaching Paro visit the Paro Dzong known as the Rinpung Dzong.   Take a short walk downhill crossing a traditional cantilever bridge over the Pa-chu (Paro River) will take you to the base of the hill. Visit Paro Nation Museum which lies perched atop the hill which overlooks the majestic Paro Rinpung Dzong. Towards evening, explore Paro town by walk.

Overnight at Hotel YangBhutan (Government certified 3 Star Hotel). Breakfast and Dinner in Hotel.

After breakfast, drive to the north of the valley to the base of a hill and hike to the famous Taktsang monastery (Alt.3100m).  Taktsang literally means –“Tiger’s nest”. This monastery was built in the 1600s and clings to a sheer rock cliff that plunges 900m above the valley. Legend has it that Guru Rinpoche, in the form of Dorji Drolo(Guru’s 8th manifestation) arrived at this site on the back of a flying tigress believed to be his consort, to subdue the eight evil spirits who were preventing the propagation on Buddhism in the area. This is must visit place and should not missed it. We will also take hots tone bath. A Bhutanese hot stone bath is the perfect way to relax and wind down after a long day of sightseeing and is also believed to have numerous health benefits. After early breakfast in hotel, we will drive to  New Jalpaiguri Train Station via Phuntshoing and AVTT representative will see off.
