      Your Bhutan itinerary introduces you to ethereal expanses    Your arrival at Paro airport is marked by a warm welcome by an agent’s representative who will escort you to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and get over the jet lag. Now, be prepared for a sightseeing spree, which includes Paro Valley and ruins of Drukgyel Dzong.   Paro Valley: This picturesque region is amongst the region’s widest valleys, covered by rice fields. Its crystalline river meanders down the valley. A bouquet of traditional, colorful, and decorative houses makes the valley come alive with beauty.   Ruins of Drukgyel Dzong: Tucked in the upper Paro Valley, these ancient ruins are among the much famed archaeological sites of the country. One of the four principal Dra Dzongs (defense fortresses), DrukgyelDzong was built during 1644-1649 to commemorate the Bhutanese victory over the Tibetan-Mongol forces. On a cloudless day, you can catch sight of Bhutan's holy peak - Mt. Jumolhari from here.   After an insightful day of vacation in Bhutan, come back to the hotel for a relaxing stay.

      Enjoy a thrilling trek to Tiger’s Nest today as per your Bhutan travel itinerary.   Arise fresh amidst unpolluted expanses and gorge on a delicious breakfast. The day presents you an incredible trek to Tiger’s Nest. The ascent is an easy one and you can reach the top in almost 2 hours, if you are an enthusiastic trekker. Beginners might take a little more time.   Tiger’s Nest: Also known as TaktshangGoemba or Paro Taktsang, Tiger’s Nest is a monastery that is perched on a cliff and offers you a spectacular scenery of blue pine and rhododendrons forest. Legends state that Guru Rinpoche flew to this site on a tigress’ back to mollify a local demon. Later, he meditated here for three months.   Once you have enjoyed the adrenaline rush with this Bhutan trekking, come back to the hotel and relax your weary self.   Tip: Clicking pictures is not allowed inside the monastery. So, make sure you hold back the photographer in you.

      This Bhutan tour plan takes you to places that offer a sneak peek into Bhutan’s past.   Wake up to a hearty breakfast and set off to delve into the past of the country. Your places of interest today are Rinpung Dzong and National Museum.   Rinpung Dzong: The Dzong is originally RinchenPungDzong but is famous with its shortened name - Rinpung Dzong, which means 'Fortress on a Heap of Jewels'. In 1644, its construction began on the order of ZhabdrungNgawang Namgyal. It is looked upon as a masterpiece of Bhutanese monastery and hosts Paro Tsechu - festival of masks. Formerly the National Assembly meeting hall, the Dzong now is home to monastic body, district government offices, and local courts. Its splendid architecture and breathtaking views make it a must visit attraction among Bhutan tourist places. The fortress defended Paro valley against Tibetan invasions throughout the 17th and 18th centuries.   National Museum: Take a sneak peek into the history at this museum, which is located in an age-old ta dzong (watch tower). Here, a tasteful collection of ancient weapons, coins, Bhutanese art and artifacts, and stamps is displayed. Go through the 3D map of Bhutan in the natural-history gallery.   After visiting, you can walk down a path from the museum to the Dzong and back to the town, enjoying good views of the valley and of the UgyenPelri Palace. After such a wonderful day of your Bhutan itinerary for 4 days, return to the hotel for a soothing sleep.   Tip: Cameras are not allowed inside the museum, but you can photograph the tadzong and surrounding grounds.   Optional: Shopping (charges extra)
