A boating session on Venna Lake will be a great option. This manmade lake, which was built by the Raja of Satara Shri Appasaheb Maharaj in 1842, is located close to the city market. Besides enjoying a session of row or paddle boating, you can also go for horse riding around the lake.   Table Land: The five hills surrounding Panchgani near Mahabaleshwar are topped by a volcanic plateau, which is the second highest in Asia after the Tibetan plateau. These plateaus, alternatively known as "table land", are a part of the Deccan Plateau and were raised by pressure between the earth plates.     Wilson Point Wilson Point is the highest point in Mahabaleshwar at 1439 m. Wilson Point is also popularly known as Sunrise Point. However, Wilson point is the only point in Mahabaleshwar where both sunrise and sunset can be seen.   Rajpuri Caves Rajpuri Caves are believed to have given shelter to Pandavas during their exile. The caves are surrounded by many holy kunds (ponds) which are supposed to get waters of the holy Ganga and hence supposed to cure all kinds of diseases.   Parsi Point This point offers visitors a breathtaking panoramic view of the clear waters of Dhom Dam and of Krishna river. It is situated 3 km away from the main town of Mahabaleshwar and it is one of the famous Mahabaleshwar Waterfalls.
