BA BE NATIONAL PARK 3 DAYS /2 NIGHTS TREKKING

Our tour guide will pick you up in a car from your hotel between 7:30 and 8:00 am. We have a lot to do today, so we need to get an early start. On the way to Ba Be National Park, we'll stop in a town for lunch at a restaurant. Then, on the way to Ba Be Lake, we'll go up through the mountains and tea plantations.   Then you will go to the Tay town of Coc Toc, where the traditional houses are built on stilts. The local Tay people are very friendly and will welcome you with open arms. They will tell you about their way of life, which is based on fishing on the lake and growing rice.   In a homestay, you will spend the night here to get a real look at Tay society and everyday life. After you check in at the homestay, the rest of the afternoon is yours to do as you please. We suggest going for a walk to see the beautiful area. After that, we'll take you to Hua Ma Cave, which has a lot of stalactites and stalagmites.   The rest of the day is again yours to do as you please, though we do offer guided walks/bike rides around Coc Toc Village and kayaking trips on the lake as alternative activities. You can also choose to spend the rest of the day resting and taking in the beautiful scenery.

On your second day in Ba Be, you can go trekking through the park to see all of its different and beautiful scenery. Your guide will first take you to Coc Toc Village, where you'll meet the Tay fishers who live there. Then, you'll cross Pelu Stream and go up and down some steep terrain. You'll be very glad you made the effort, because once you get to a higher level, you'll see amazing views of the mountains.   As you go higher, you will stop in an H'mong village for a picnic lunch. After you've eaten and rested, you'll continue through the vast mountain ranges and valleys to see the Dzao people's stilt houses and visit one of their schools. Then, you'll visit a second H'mong village and head back to your homestay by the lake.

On the last day of the tour, after breakfast, we'll get on a boat and head out onto the lake. How you spend your time on the boat is up to you. You can sit and take in the sights, or you can go for a swim in the cool water to cool off. All around you are beautiful rock formations covered with patches of wild plants and a lot of wildlife.   The boat will then continue along the Nang River, giving you a chance to tour the caves of Puong Grotto. Here, you can look at the stalactites and stalagmites made by river erosion and watch the thousands of bats that live here.   After you've explored the lake, you can rest while we drive you back to Hanoi and let you take in the beautiful scenery. On the way to Hanoi, you will stop at a local restaurant for lunch. When you get to Hanoi at about 17:30, it will be time to say goodbye to your tour guide, driver, and tour group.
