Day 1: Arrival in Kochi
Arrive in Kochi, the vibrant city known as the 'Queen of the Arabian Sea’. Check into your hotel and freshen up. Begin the day with a visit to the famous Fort Kochi, home to the iconic Chinese fishing nets. Visit the St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India. After lunch, tour the Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace. Enjoy a traditional Kathakali dance performance in the evening. Overnight stay at Kochi.
Day 2: Munnar
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel in Kochi and drive to Munnar. Visit the Cheeyappara Waterfalls and Valara Waterfalls on the way. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring the local tea plantations. Overnight stay at Munnar.
Day 3: Munnar Sightseeing
Start your day with a visit to the Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. After lunch, visit Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Kundala Lake. In the evening, stroll around the local market for some shopping. Overnight stay at Munnar.
Day 4: Thekkady
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Visit the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the most famous wildlife sanctuaries in South India. Enjoy a boat ride on Periyar Lake for a chance to spot wild animals. In the evening, witness a traditional Kalaripayattu martial arts performance. Overnight stay at Thekkady.
Day 5: Alleppey
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey. On arrival, check-in at the houseboat and enjoy a tranquil cruise along the famous backwaters of Kerala. Enjoy a delicious Kerala-style lunch on the houseboat. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and taking in the serene surroundings. Overnight stay on the houseboat.
Day 6: Departure
After breakfast, disembark from the houseboat and drive back to Kochi. Depending on your flight/train schedule, you might have some time for last-minute shopping in Kochi. Proceed to Kochi Airport/Railway Station for your journey back home, carrying beautiful memories of your family tour in Kerala.
