Transfer from Manali to Kaza (Elevation: 2050m/6726ft.) (Distance: 210 kms, Travel Time: 11 hours) We will start early for the longest day's journey of driving to Kaza. On the way, we will stop for lunch at Batal. Today we will cross two high mountain passes, including the highest point on the entire journey, Kunzum Pass at an elevation of 4558m/14950ft. We will also visit the temple on the pass where travelers offer prayers before descending. Kunzum Pass offers breathtaking views of the CB ranges and glaciers. In the evening, we will reach Kaza. Check-in at the hotel for an overnight stay.
Sightseeing around Kaza (5-6 hours) After breakfast, we will be driven to the village of Langza. Here, you will have the opportunity to walk around the village and visit the monastery at the top. Look out for fossils on the way and observe yaks working in the fields or grazing in the pastures. If weather permits, there is an option to drive to Hikkim, the world's highest village connected by a motorable road, and the Comic Village. Later, we will continue our drive to Kee Monastery and the village of Kibber, once considered the world's highest village at 4200 meters. There is also an option to hike to the nearby mountains where you can spot herds of Himalayan blue sheep and snow ibex in the evening. Lunch will be at Kibber Village in a local restaurant, where you will be offered a choice of delicious Tibetan dishes. In the evening, we will return to Kaza for an overnight stay at the hotel.
Kaza To Tabo Localsightseeing and back to Kaza (Elevation: 3200m/10500ft) (Distance:50 km, Travel Ti After breakfast, we will visit the Tabo monastery, the oldest monastery in the Himalayas. Later, we will drive to Kaza (3 hours), and also visit the Dhankar village and Dhankar monastery and fort. We will have a cup of tea and lunch with a local family here. Afterward, we will continue our drive to Kaza, where you will check in at your hotel. The evening is free to explore the Kaza market.
Transfer From Kaza To Chandratal Lake (Distance: 114 km, Travel Time: 6-7 hours) After breakfast, we will leave for Chandratal Lake, crossing Kunzam Pass (15100 feet) and reaching Battal. On the way, you will have a magnificent view of CB Ranges Peaks. Chandratal Lake, with its deep blue water and a circumference of 2.5 km, is believed to be the source of the Chandra River. According to some beliefs, this is the spot from where the god Indra's chariot took the eldest Pandava brother, Yudhishthira, to Swarga (heaven) in his mortal form. You will have a full day at leisure to enjoy the beauty of the lake and the surrounding snow peaks. Overnight camping at Chandratal Lake.
Transfer From Chandratal to Manali(Elevation: 2050m/6726ft) (Distance: 100 km, Travel Time: 5 hours) Today, we will start early at 6:30 AM as it is a long day's journey back to Manali (4-5 hours). We will stop for breakfast at Chandratal Lake Camp before starting our drive back to Manali. On the way, we will stop at Batal for lunch and then continue driving through the scenic Spiti Valley, passing through picturesque villages and stunning landscapes. We will cross Kunzum Pass once again, offering the last glimpse of the breathtaking Himalayan vistas before descending towards Manali. We will also offer our prayers in the temple where travelers stop over during their trip every time. In the evening, we will reach Manali via Rohtang Pass(3980m/13058ft) and bid farewell to the enchanting Spiti Valley. We’ll arrive in Manali by evening, and check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.
