At 8:00, a tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Dong Hoi and take you to the Vinh Moc caves for 2.5 hours. Small churches and old US Bases are good places to stop along the way. Go through the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and cross the Ben Hai River on the Hien Luong Bridge. Visit the museum to see pictures and memorials from the war. Take an interesting tour of the Vinh Moc Tunnels, where you will explore the tunnels, walk past huge bomb craters and an amazing fighting trench, and even go into the tunnels. See the tiny living rooms, the places where people kept food and weapons, and the school where they learned. You can swim and have breakfast at local restaurant. Transfer back to hotel.
