Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport is the largest airport in Southeast Asia and is serviced by major international carriers. The airport is located about 30 kilometers east of the city center. There are a number of ways to reach Bangkok from the airport, including taxis, buses, and the Airport Rail Link.



By Rail

The Thai railway system is comprehensive and efficient. The main line runs from Bangkok to Chiang Mai in the north and connects with Malaysia and Singapore. There are several rail stations in Bangkok, including the Hualamphong Train Station, which is located in the city center.



By Road

Bangkok is also well served by buses. The main bus terminal is located in the Mo Chit district of Bangkok. There are a number of bus companies that operate routes to and from Bangkok, including the government-owned Transport Co. Ltd.

The best way to get around Bangkok is by taxi. Taxis are metered and reasonably priced. There are a number of taxi companies in Bangkok, including the popular Bangkok Taxi Meter.
