Sky Bridge 721, the world's longest pedestrian suspension bridge, is currently located in the Czech Republic! The 721 m (2365 ft) long bridge is part of the country's Horsk resort Doln Morava mountain resort. The bridge, which is more than 1100 meters (3610 feet) above sea level, has become the country's newest tourism attraction.
The pedestrian bridge connects two mountain peaks and stretches up to 95 meters (312 feet) over the valley below. It is located in the Kralicky Sneznik mountain range near the Poland border in the country's northeast.
People can enjoy breathtaking views of the surroundings from here. It's an ideal location for thrill-seekers. Only 500 people will be permitted to cross the bridge at any given moment. If the wind speed reaches 135 km/h, the bridge will be closed immediately for the protection of the tourists.
The bridge's construction took over two years and cost nearly 200 million Czech crowns (USD$8.3 million). However, some argue that the bridge is too large for the local nature, while others argue that it would bring tourists to a community of fewer than 500 people.
