The Ramgarh Vishdhari Sanctuary in Rajasthan has recently been designated as a tiger reserve. With the acquisition of this additional reserve, India currently has 52 tiger reserves.
Between Rajasthan's famous Ranthambore Tiger Reserve and Mukundra Hills Tiger sits Ramgarh Vishdhari Sanctuary. The region is a vital tiger corridor.
Rajasthan's new tiger reserve is the state's fourth. Ranthambore, Sariska, and Mukundra are the other three. When an area is designated as a wildlife reserve, the biodiversity of the region is legally preserved. It is an excellent decision for the environment and the area as a whole.
Ramgarh Vishdhari Sanctuary is also home to striped hyena, leopard, golden jackal, sloth bear, Indian wolf, nilgai, fox, and chinkara, in addition to a strong tiger habitat.
The government is also working to promote ecotourism and economic growth in the area. Ecotourism destinations include the Garh Palace and the Bhimlat Mahadev Temple and Waterfall.
