The famous Mahakaleshwar temple at Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh will be reopened for devotees on Monday after a lag of 80 days, informed the member of its management committee.
The temple was shut for the public on April 9th this year following a rise in the COVID-19 infection rate. The officials said it had to be closed because of the second wave of Pandemic that broke out last year.
It would be reopened tomorrow however the entry to the temple's sanctum sanctorum and Nandi Hall would still be prohibited.
The devotees would need to take online permission for the 'darshan' at the temple. They would also need negative COVID-19 test reports 48 hours before the visit as well as at least one shot of the vaccine and its certificate.
The officials further announced that only 3500 devotees would be allowed in a day, from 6 am to 8 pm, within 7-time slots of two hours each and 500 people allowed to visit in per slot.
Everyone around the temple premises would need to adhere to the COVID-19 safety guidelines.
