HIMACHAL PRADESH TOURISM TO PROMOTE DESTINATION WEDDINGS AT ITS HOTELS

After suffering huge losses due to the COVID pandemic, the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) has now decided to promote destination weddings at its hotels that are located in the most scenic locations.
Referring to this, the HPTDC has even gone ahead has selected properties like the Palace Hotel, Chail, and its hotels at Fagu, Barog, and Narkanda, where they added that complete arrangements will be made for destination weddings.
Elaborating more on this, Director of Tourism and HPTDC Managing Director Amit Kashyap stated that they have selected their hotels that boast of most picturesque settings, and which will suit every pocket. He added that these spots would help people to enjoy weddings away from the crowded cities, and since the number of people will be limited, it can be referred to as the best and safest option during these times of COVID, when social-distance is a must protocol.
Kashyap added that they will provide a complete package where everything will be taken care of, right from arranging a pandit, decoration, catering and other needs so that people just come and enjoy the wedding as a life-time experience.
Reports have it that although the region witnessed a rise in tourist numbers during summer, the occupancy in hotels has now dipped to barely 20 to 30 per cent.
