India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the government will soon launch the 'AYUSH mark,' which will ensure that excellent AYUSH goods made in the country are real. In relation to "Heal in India," he also stated that a separate visa category will be established soon for individuals who wish to travel to India to receive AYUSH treatments.
In the presence of Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth and World Health Organization Director-General Dr Tredos Ghebreyesus, Prime Minister Modi spoke after the opening of the three-day Global AYUSH Investment and Innovation Summit at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy are all included under the umbrella term 'AYUSH.' Alternative medicine systems in India are overseen by a central ministry.
"India will soon establish the AYUSH mark, which will ensure the integrity of the country's high-quality AYUSH products. The label will be granted to products that have been thoroughly tested utilising cutting-edge technology. "This will give people around the world confidence that they are buying high-quality AYUSH products," Modi remarked.
"Traditional medicine has aided Kerala's tourism growth. This power exists across India, in every corner of the country. 'Heal in India' has the potential to become a major brand this decade. Wellness centres based on Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and other ancient healing systems might be highly popular, according to the Prime Minister. According to him, the unique "AYUSH visa" will assist individuals seeking traditional Indian treatments.
