Ayodhya is all set to get cruise services, which will likely start before Deepotsav. As per the reports, visitors will then be able to enjoy cruising on the Saryu river when the
Ramayana Cruise Service starts its operation.
Reportedly, Alaknanda Cruiseline will be operating the luxury cruise ship, which earlier launched the cruise services in
Varanasi three years ago. Referring to this, a government spokesman informed that the said Ramayan Cruise Service will be operated with the support of the state tourism department.
Director of Alaknanda Cruiseline Vikas Malviya stated that they are quite thrilled to launch the first-ever luxury cruise service on the holy Saryu river in Ayodhya. He added that they aim to offer a memorable experience to the pilgrims, and that the cruise ships will be sailing on the Saryu from one
ghat to another.
Reports have it that the 90-min long trip will be called the
Ram Charitramanas Tour, and will be covering ghats like the Ram Ghat, Laxman Ghat, Guptar Ghat and other Ghats of the Saryu. Malviya added that the entire trip will be around 16 km.
The cruise will come enhanced with all statefacilities and luxury. It will also come equipped with all the required safety and security features that are at par with international standards. The interiors of the cruise will be based on Ram Charitramanas theme, while the ship will have large glass windows to allow passengers to enjoy the beauty of the ghats.
