By Air

To get to the Seychelles, you can fly into the main airport on Mahe. There are also a few smaller airports on some of the other islands, but they only have a few flights a week.

Local transport

Local transport in Seychelles is a mix of buses, taxis, and car rental. There is no railway system on the islands.

Buses are the main form of public transport and there are several companies that operate services. The buses are generally old, but they are cheap and reliable. The main bus terminal is in Victoria, the capital. There are also a few bus stops in other towns on the main island of Mahé.

Taxis are also a popular form of transport and they are available throughout the islands. The taxis are metered and fares are generally reasonable.

Car rental is available on Mahé and Praslin. The roads on the islands are good and the driving is relatively easy.
